While in Yellowstone National Park I also created these abstract photographs. They are details of the geyser pools made with my digital DSLR firmly on a tripod. For details such as these I prefer to use my old 55mm macro lens because it is extraordinary sharp, especially when used on a tripod. I have made comparisons to my 4×5 inch negatives and the digital files are considerably sharper!
